Il Canyon di Palo Duro è un sistema di canyon appartenente alla scarpata di Caprock nella regione del Texas Panhandle, nel nord del Texas (USA). Situato a sud-est della città di Amarillo, il canyon è protetto da un Parco statale. Il suo nome spagnolosignifica "legno duro" in riferimento alle piante di gineproche crescono nella regione. Il Canyon di Palo Duro è il secondo per dimensioni degli USA, dopo il Gran Canyon del Colorado. Il suo tipico colore rosso è causato della presenza di ferro nel terreno.

 Palo Duro Canyon is a canyon system of the Caprock Escarpemnt located in theTexas Panhandle near the city of Amarillo - Texas (USA) As the second largest canyon in the USA.
Palo Duro Canyon (from the Spanish meaning "hard wood") has been named "The Grand Canyon of Texas" both for its size and for its dramatic geological features, including the multicolored layers of rock and steep mesa walls similar to those in the Gran Canyon.
